Connecting to WiFi Networks

Using a Smart Card or Other Certificate

If your computer is running Windows XP, you can select "Smart Card or

Other Certificate" as your EAP type for 802.1x authentication. Certificates

are digital "proof of identity" documents that are "signed" by a certifying

authority. If a network's administrator allows the use of certificates, your

computer can present such a certificate as login credentials.
